For reading this Week We had to compare to stories with each other this is My Work

For reading this week I read:
Text 1:  Pandemic: The Deadly Flu of 1918

Text 2:  Bright Fine Gold

Aim to complete as many of these 3 boxes as you can, the minimum we expect is 1 completed :)
What is written below is the minimum please feel free to write more.

My thinking:
Make connections between and across at least two texts and general knowledge to expand meaning and pose questions
The new learnings I now have are:
Pandemic- Influenza Virus of 1918 killed 50 Million people world wide.
Bright Fine Gold- When gold was discovered in 1861 Thousands Flocked to Central Otago.
2 Questions I have are:
  • Why did only a few Women Go hunting for Gold?
  • Why was War still going on during Influenza Virus?

Use prior knowledge to connect to at least two texts
The prior knowledge I had for Text 1 was:
  • I did not know anything about this text I was reading until I stared reading it

The prior knowledge I had for Text 2 was:
  • I did not know anything about this text I  was reading until I stared reading it

Make connections between at least two texts and own life experiences
2 things that I could relate to from my own life experience in Text 1 was:
  • That We have a virus around know
  • It had killed many people world wide
2 things that I could relate to from my own life experience in Text 2 was:
  • I can’t relate

Bettys broken arm

Welcome back to another blog post today blog post is about my little cousin Betty broken arm. How Betty broke her arm was she jumped out of her bed an landed on her arm and she woke up one morning and it was hurting a lot so that day we went to go and get a x-ray the ray  showed that the bone snapped and it was broken so then she has to where a cast the cast is red and she is really exited about it when she got home she was so happy and confused but so happy but sometimes she wants to take it of. We are ll going to sign the cast and she has to have it on for four weeks That is a long time. Betty is upset because she loves going on the trampoline but she cant because her arm and she cant open a lid for a pen it is funny watching her try but sometimes she can do it she also can't do much but she is really happy that she can lye down in the couch and watch some TV. We all thought she was fine and the arm was not broken but turns out it was broken and Hopefully she can get though the 4 weeks with the cast on and maybe she might get to change the colour to pink because her favorite colour is pink. Betty is happy with red but i think she will be very happy with the colour pink anyway that's all I have for know

Bye.

Have anyone in your family broken a arm or have you broken a arm?
