 This week for maths our goal was Use multiplication and division strategies to find fractions of whole numbers. we had to make fraction word problems and share them,

For Maths this week we have been look at 3d shapes and for maths we had to make 3d shapes out of toothpicks and guletack here are the 2 3d shapes i have made:

----- I don't really know what shape this is I just did it really.  this shape has 5 faces, 6 vertex, 7 edges.

--------- this is a 3d cube. this cube has 6 faces, 8 vertex, and 12 edges.

Reading WK 7

 For reading this week we had to follow a set of instructions and see what the outcome was, 

These are the set of instructions I followed:

I got all my family to try this as well as me, I could do this 4 times in a row, My sister could only do it once, My brother did this 31 times he probably cheated like he always does, my mum got 20 and my dad got 2.

I found these instructions easy to follow which was good cause otherwise i wouldn't know what to do.

This Week for reading we have learning about growth mindset we had choose a person in life who has had a growth or still dose and then we had  to create a poster explaining:

1. Why it is important to have a growth mindset?

2. Why you should never give up?

3. And talk about your person and why they have had a growth mindset.

Over the past weeks we have been learning about inner peace and what it means to us. We had to Colour in some peace  signs and write down what inner peace looks like to us I wrote on: friends,sport,food, fun.

 This week for writing we had to make a Persuasive Text my was about should students get paid for gong to school.

Reading Wk 8

For reading this week we had to go on kiwi kids new and pick three articles and write down what we find inserting about this article:

The first article i read:

This genre is: animals 

Deaf dog learns sign language:

Its about a dog in England that learns sign language i find this inserting because how dose a dog learn sign language i don't Evan know anything about sign language and know a dog knows it i just find this crazy.

Second article i read:

This genre is: sport

Warriors to drop the women team

I think this is very interesting we have a male NRL team who is going to represent are kiwi NRL women team i think that we need to keep this team and just because the caption left to Australia  dose not mean we need to get rid of this team.

Last article i read was:

This genre is: world wide   

Worlds third biggest diamond found:

i found this very interesting  because i was wondering how much this would be worth how big are the other diamonds and how much are they worth is someone going to trade this for money where is it gonna go is it going to be keeped  in a safe place?

For reading this Week We had to create a character web and read a book and then read a book The book i read was called bad guys and it was about bad animals wanting to be good but they wee to wired and scary animals to be good, here is my reading task:

 For writing this week We had to make a news article  about something that might be happening in the school or something that happend in the community or in Christchurch. I wrote mine about a game called Pa wars it's a new game that our teacher made. I really enjoyed writing and playing this.

 For Maths this Week we are doing a Statistical Investigation We had to chose a question and you had to ask people about your question My question was How often do you speak te reo?

We also had more than one goal for this task here they are:
